Council of the India Mission, Minutes and Correspondence 1949-1982; 1963-1982.

The records consist of minutes of the annual meetings and of the Executive Committee of the Council of the India Mission. The council met four times a year, with the first three meetings being Executive Committee only, and the final meeting being the whole council. The minutes include committee reports, missionary placement decisions, and treasurer's reports. The majority are printed, with the remainder being carbon copies. They are arranged in chronological order. The records also contain correspondence with Council officers, Presidents William D. Coleman and William Powlas Peery, and Treasurers Edmund G. Wood and E. Edwin Nabert. This correspondence extends back to the Board of Foreign Missions of the ULCA and to the Board of World Missions of the LCA, and seems to have been a set of files that was passed from George Drach to Luther Gotwald to Earl Erb to J. Frederick Neudoerffer (see ULCA 19/7).
